DateManagerGold is a privacy-enabled replacement for GAIN's Date-Manager. It does not display ads, tracking internet usage, "phone home", or do anything other than provide calendar features.

DateManagerGold is a privacy-enabled replacement for GAIN's Date-Manager. It does not display ads, tracking internet usage, "phone home", or do anything other than provide calendar features. An IT director we know had a user who insisted on using a long-loved "free" downloaded software program. Unfortunately, the software program displayed advertising and tracked internet usage, which actually was disclosed in the provider-site's terms of usage agreement. This IT director purchases the paid version for this user. Unfortunately, that only suppressed the advertising. Even the paid version tracked internet usage, which actually was also disclosed in provider-site's terms of usage agreement. The software provider's site had a faq, where they clearly stated there was absolutely no version at any price that would not track internet usage. The IT director decided that if the user chose to live with third-party internet-usage tracking, so be it. Unfortunately, about a month later the corporate antivirus program added this program to their mailware list and deleted it automatically. Adding it back did no good, because it was deleted the next night. And the IT director was NOT going to turn off the corporate antivirus software. So the IT director asked for a replacement with the same features as the original program. The orignal program that created the dilemna was called DateManager and was distributed by GAIN. The new program is DateManagerGold which can be downloaded from DateManagerGold.com. It's FREE for home use by 5 or fewer computers at one location, but must be licensed for business, government, non-profit organization or any use that's not home use or where there are more than 5 computers at one location. There is no limitation or shareware version. The license allows you to comply with our license agreement.
