Backup Made Simple

Backup Made Simple will save anything on your hard drive to CD-RW, CD-R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, a hard drive folder, ZIP drive, or almost any other device.

Description of Backup Made Simple:

Our software can also write backups that are readable directly in Windows Explorer and other programs, without having to restore them to your hard drive first. So you can browse digital photo archives just by dropping in the backup disc, etc.

Backup Made Simple is designed to work well with both low and high capacity media, if you require file compression on most backups, and if you are satisfied with having to restore files from the backup media back to your hard disk before you can access them. Its essential feature is that by default it uses a proprietary file format that compresses files, and splits them across multiple discs if necessary. It is also more convenient to use with smaller capacity media like floppy diskettes.

Either program can be configured to work like the other if you want to tweak all the settings appropriately. Each will also restore any backup made by the other.
