NetCD offers the capability of mapping CD image files residing on Web (anywhere on the entire Web) into virtual CD drives on your local computer. Whenever you see a CD image file on web, for example, http://www.xyz.com/files/abc.iso, or http://192.

Description of NetCD:

Whenever you see a CD image file on web, for example, http://www.xyz.com/files/abc.iso, or http://192.168.1.100/abc.img, copy and paste the URL to NetCD, and then you get a virtual CD drive on your computer. It is that simple. It now begins functioning exactly like a real CD drive on your computer with a real CD (i.e., the CD image file) inserted.

Another use of NetCD is storing images on a Web server you have space. Storing CD image files on a central place (web server) provides better management, safer connection (as it is http connection, virus contamination is unlikely), and enables multiple users to access easily, simultaneously.
