BlackBox uses file-based data protection, backed by efficient, high-quality encryption (DES, Blowfish, IDEA, CAST, RC4). Should you need to encrypt or decrypt your data regularly, maybe overnight, there is a command line interface available.

BlackBox can also maintain a security set for you (essentially a list of sensitive files and folders), which logically binds together all your protected data, possibly spread across several folders or drives. Locking, unlocking, copying, moving and managing all objects in a security set is as easy as right-clicking and typing a password.
